Description Kewpie Mayonnaise for Sushi
Kewpie Mayonnaise was the first mayonnaise ever produced in Japan, first made in 1925 - soon Kewpie Mayonnaise will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Since the birth of the popular dressing, the bottle has featured a doll.
Unlike European versions, Kewpie Mayo is already seasoned with sugar, salt, and mustard and has a subtle vinegar note. This makes it more complex in flavor. Another factor contributing to the full taste is the use of only egg yolks, not whole eggs.

As a fully seasoned mayo, it can be used like a dressing:
- as a dip for grilled meat or vegetables
- zu Cross-Over Sushi
- with potato salad
- to typical Japanese dishes such as Okonomiyaki or Takoyaki
- and much more
Try the mayonnaise also as a marinade for grilled meat. The ingredients eggs and sugar create a nice meat crust with delicious roasted notes.
Store in a cool place. After opening, keep refrigerated and consume within one month.
